Piglets grow faster because of floor heating.
In modern farming it is very important that the animals have the most optimal conditions possible. In order to mature quickly piglets must not lose body heat to the surroundings or the floor. An optimal solution is to install Deviheat heating cables in the floor of the stable or pen to ensure that the animals develop and obtain extra heat.
In pens the piglets must have a temperature of approx. 30°C for the first two days. The temperature must then be reduced gradually to approx. 18°C during the next 4 weeks. This is easily done by means of an electronic Devireg thermostat, which controls the heat regulation.
In chicken sheds it is also very advantageous to install floor heating with Deviheat electrical heating cables. A more even temperature at the floor, without heating the entire building, will obviously reduce the energy consumption considerably.
Other advantages are a cleaner and more dry environment for the chickens, which has proven to have a considerable influence on the well-being of the chickens and also their habit of pecking each other. These are all contributing factors which will reduce diseases, etc.
Furthermore, the fast drying of animal waste will make floor cleaning easier and faster when changing between two broods of chickens.
Piglets develop faster; higher survival rates among piglets and chickens; heat is kept at floor level; and lower energy consumption than heated air;
We recommend Deviheat heating cables or Devimat heating mats.
Several different types of Devireg electronic thermostats connected to a wire sensor in the floor can be used. Devireg 330 is for DIN rail mounting, and Devireg 610 is moist-proof (IP 44) and can be installed in moist environments.
It often proves suitable to install a thermostat for each pen or small groups of pens, to control the temperature separately for the individual pens
