Slippery surfaces caused by frozen condensed water is a problem in cold stores.
In doorways between cold stores and heated rooms, condensed water may occur on the floor due to the constant change of cold and warm air when the door is opened and closed. This may cause ice formations on the floor resulting in accidents, and the floor in these areas must therefore be heated.
The solution is to install Deviheat or Devimat as close to the floor surface as possible. The heating cables/mat must be installed at both sides of the doorway, but they must not be lead across expansion joints. This means that a separate heating system must be installed both inside and outside the doorway. As an extra comfort, a DEVI frost protection system will also limit the flow of cold air into the heated areas.
Safe traffic for pedestrians, trucks etc.; and Less cold loss when passing the door.
We recommend Deviheat DTIP-18, Deviheat DSIG-20 or Devimat 150 controlled by a Devireg 330 (-10°C - +10°C).
